AnindyaBirthdayMenuThis virtual space belongs to me. Name is Payal. Here I do not intend to describe me and myself..I have chosen this space to pen down about my cooking. Only cooking. Before my marriage and even after my marriage(till two months) I was only a foodie. I and my boyfriend (now husband) used to (still do) go to different restaurants and dhabas and road-side stalls to taste different types of food. After my marriage also I had to enter the kitchen only occasionaly to make tea or coffee. But things changed after moving outside West Bengal and later outside my country. Here no cook..no mom-in-law..no mom and so we had to enter the kitchen for our survival. To my astonishment it did not feel bad at all. Since the only recipes I knew were maggi, tea, coffee, I had to search internet and call my mother for recipes. The first week of our arrival my husband used to cook for me..boiled rice, boiled egg and boiled potato. My poor husband knew these only. Then I went in the field to bat..thanks to my mother..she wrote down several basic bengali recipes which can be cooked by minimum effort. First few weeks I sticked to those. But after that I started my venture. I searched internet..blogs..and talked to my mother asking how she makes this or that..and so on. And now I’m in a position to pen down various recipes which many people may find useful. Though it was not exactly my idea to write blog, it is my husband who createdΒ  this account and presented to me in recognition of my chef avatar. Now enough of this story telling of ‘How I became a cook’..let’s cook something..
